L’Ange blanc

Après 15 années de créations en Bijou d’Art Contemporain, j’ai voulu chercher plus loin et développer un travail toujours axé sur le corps humain, mais sans les contraintes fonctionnelles du bijou. Au départ, c’est l’énergie issue du mouvement de la forme qui m’interpellait. De cette approche sont issues les Structures Graphiques. Le corps est absorbé par le mouvement et ses mouvements sont rendus de manière linéaire. Peu à peu, la ligne s'est assouplie et le corps humain a pris forme grâce au dessin. Des silhouettes en mouvance, à la rencontre ou dans l’éloignement d’autres silhouettes en mouvance. Ce sont surtout les mouvements des silhouettes dans l’espace qui m’inspirent. La relation qui s’établit entre elles est ce qui engendre l’espace perçu et lui donne un sens, un espace inter relationnel en constante mutation, une géographie humaine fluctuante. Depuis mes premières créations en bijoux d’art contemporain (architecture sur le corps), en passant par les Structures Graphiques (le mouvement du corps absorbé par la ligne) jusqu’aux Chorégraphies du Quotidien (le corps dans l’espace), l’humain reste ma préoccupation centrale, qu’elle soit sociale ou spirituelle. Na vijftien succesvolle jaren als ontwerpster van hedendaagse juwelen ben ik me vooral laten inspireren door het menselijk lichaam zonder de functionele beperkingen van het juweel. Aanvankelijk was ik geïntrigeerd door de beweging als energie. Dit leidde tot de Grafische Structuren. De beweging van het lichaam wordt lineair weergegeven. Langzaam heeft het lichaam vorm gekregen dankzij mijn tekeningen van bewegende silhouetten die dichter bij elkaar komen of net zich van elkaar verwijderen. De bewegingen van de silhouetten en de dynamiek die daarbij ontstaat schept een interrelationele ruimte die voortdurend zich anders omvormd in een muterend menselijke geografie. Sinds mijn hedendaage kunstjuwelen (architectuur op het lichaam), de Grafische Structuren (lichaambewegingen als strakke energie lijnen uitgedrukt) tot de heden Dagdagelijkse Choreografieën ( ruimte en lichaam) is mijn belang voor de Mens altijd centraal gebleven. After 15 years of successful Contemporary Art Jewellery, I decided 10 years ago to take it a step further and develop a body of work still inspired by the human body, but without the inherent functional aspect of jewellery. At first, it was the movement as energy that interested me. From it came the Graphic Structures. The movement of the body is rendered by straight lines that meet or recede. But slowly the human shape started to emerge, thanks to my drawings. Silhouettes on the move, in space or relating to each other. It is the movements of the silhouettes in space and their interactions that generate an interrelational space in constant mutation, a fluctuating human geography. Since I started with the Contemporary Art Jewellery (body architecture), followed by the Graphic Structures (the body movement is absorbed by the straight line) to the Choreographies of everyday life (body and space), what is human has remained my main preoccupation.
